  • There are so many treatments how do I pick which is best for me?
It really can be confusing as the aesthetics market is booming with new injectable products and devices being introduced every year. Our website is designed to be informative yet it is really important that you trust your aesthetics professional to give you guidance. What might have been a wonderful outcome for your friend may not be a good idea for you. Often the best results include a combination of treatments to lift, drop, fill, or all the above. Your anatomy and aging process is unique to you thus the consultation with Misty is designed to match the ideal treatments with your goals.
  • Can I go back to work or out to dinner immediately after a treatment?
Although all are treatments are considered minimally invasive it depends on which treatment. For injections the answer is generally yes but there can be swelling and some bruising at the injection site. In addition, for Botox and Dysport it is advised to stay upright. For the skin resurfacing treatments there can be various degrees of redness so the answer is it depends. We suggest having this conversation at the the time the appoinment is made. For many of these appointments avoid exercise or sweating. If your plans include a big event like a wedding we recommend treatments 2 weeks prior to be safe.
  • When will I see results?
The benefits of your treatment will vary baed on which proceedure and whether protocall is for a single treatment or multiple treatments to achieve optimum results. Injections of dermal fillers can see immediate results especially when plumping the lips. Optimum results occur in a week or two as any modest swelling receeds and in the case of fillers that stimulate collagen the results improve over months. Injects of the toxins like Botox and Dysport tend to be immediate and settle in over days. Facials and peels - many patients walk out of the office after a facial and immediately post social media pics expressing the new glow in thier skin. For HydroJet the removal of blackheads will be noticable. Peels by design often take a few days for the old skin to flake off in order to see results. Skin rejuvenation and laser treatments by design are removing old skin cells and need time for new younger cells to emerge over any redness or flakyness. Depending on treatment his can take 2 to 7 days. The Pixel and eMatix treatments usually see results at the shorter end of the time range as the tiny dots are tiny scabs which heal faster. Laser Hair Removal - Results occur on the first treatment although depending on skin type and the coarsness of hair results can be patchy and 3-6 treatments may be neccessary. Body treatments- The skin tighening treatments such as thermage and contouring such as Vshape tend to see immediate results. IV Drips - The benefits of hydration tends to be felt immediately and depending of which treatments the benefits are felt in hours.
